Turn your bed linen into a table skirt
You can create a table skirt for any round table using either new or used bed linens. This simple skirt can be embellished with ruffles if you would like. Some people choose to make the entire skirt out of ruffles. Most people will choose to use pre-made ruffles for their table skirt. While it is possible to sew your own, most fabric and craft stores carry pre-made linen ruffles. If you choose to make your own place the ruffle attachment onto your sewing machine and sew the ruffle along the pre-cut length. The base circle of the table skirt can be made with an old sheet if the linen base will be entirely covered with ruffles. You will need to use some regular fabric for the covering if only one or two rows of ruffles will be used. If you have a particularly wide table it may be necessary to sew two or more strips of linen together. Be careful while using patterns, as you will need to make sure to match up the prints. Some fabric stores carry pre-made ruffles for as little as 25 cents a yard, so it pays to shop around and get the best deal possible.
